UP Man Murders Mother, Sisters Over Alleged Land Mafia Threats, Posts Chilling Video

Lucknow: In a shocking incident, a 24-year-old man, Arshad, has been arrested for murdering his mother and four sisters in a hotel in Lucknow. The accused claimed in a disturbing video that he killed them to protect his sisters from being "sold" by alleged land mafia in their hometown of Budaun.

The victims have been identified as Asma (his mother) and his sisters Alia (9), Alshia (19), Aksa (16), and Rahmeen (18). Arshad confessed to choking them and slitting their wrists, claiming his father assisted him in the act.

In the video, Arshad accused local neighbors and land mafia of capturing their house and planning to traffick his sisters. He named individuals he alleged were responsible and appealed to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for justice. "We did not get justice in life; at least give us justice in death," Arshad said, adding that his family wanted to convert to escape harassment.

Arshad alleged that the family had been sleeping on the streets for weeks due to the land dispute. "We were accused of being Bangladeshis, even though we have proof of residence since 1947," he said. He further requested that a temple be built on their land and their belongings be donated to an orphanage for their "souls to find peace."

Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central Lucknow, Raveena Tyagi confirmed the crime took place at Hotel Sharanjit. "The accused was apprehended at the crime scene. Forensic teams have collected evidence," she said.

Arshad suggested he planned to die by suicide but was arrested before he could act. The police are investigating his claims about harassment and the involvement of alleged land mafia.
