BPSSC Bihar ASI Recruitment 2024: 305 Vacancies Announced for Steno Assistant Sub-Inspectors

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Educational Qualification

Selection Process:

The recruitment process will involve the following stages:

1. Written Examination

The written exam consists of two papers:

• Paper I:

• Paper II:

2. Eligibility Check

• Candidates will be shortlisted for dictation and other eligibility tests at a ratio of six times the total vacancies, based on their written exam performance.

3. Dictation Test

• Candidates will take a Hindi dictation test where they must write at a speed of 80 words per minute for 5 minutes.
• They will be given 20 minutes to type the dictated content on a computer, with an additional 2 minutes for review before starting the typing process.
• Errors in the typed dictation must not exceed 10%; exceeding this limit will result in disqualification.

4. Typing Test

• Hindi Typing: Minimum speed of 30 words per minute with no more than 5% errors.
• English Typing: Minimum speed of 30 words per minute with no more than 10% errors.
• Candidates must type 300 words within 10 minutes for each language.

5. Computer Proficiency Test

• This test will evaluate practical knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and internet usage.
• Candidates failing this test will be disqualified.

• General/OBC/EWS/Outside Bihar Candidates: ₹700
• SC/ST/Female/Disabled Candidates from Bihar: ₹400

Merit List and Final Selection:

• The final merit list will be prepared category-wise based on the marks scored in the written examination while adhering to reservation norms.
• In case of a tie:
  1. Older candidates will be ranked higher.
  2. If the date of birth is also the same, candidates with higher educational qualifications will be ranked higher.
