Virender Sehwag and Aarti Ahlawat Likely to Divorce After 20 Years of Marriage: Reports

Indian cricket legend Virender Sehwag and wife Aarti Ahlawat reportedly separate; sources say the couple has been living apart for months, with a divorce on the horizon.

Indian cricketing great Virender Sehwag and his wife, Aarti Ahlawat, are reportedly heading for a divorce after 20 years of marriage. The couple, who got married in 2004, have sparked separation rumors after unfollowing each other on Instagram. Sources close to the family suggest that they have been living separately for several months and that a formal divorce may soon follow.  

Sehwag’s recent visit to the Vishwa Nagayakshi Temple in Kerala, which he shared on Instagram, lacked any mention of Aarti, further fueling speculation. Neither Sehwag nor Ahlawat has made an official statement regarding their separation, but the growing distance between them is becoming evident.  

Aarti Ahlawat, a New Delhi native born on December 16, 1980, has maintained a low profile over the years. She completed her education at Lady Irwin Secondary School, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, and earned a diploma in Computer Science from Maitreyi College, Delhi University.  

The couple’s relationship began in the early 2000s and culminated in a grand wedding hosted by the late Arun Jaitley in 2004. Over the years, the pair was seen as a strong unit, balancing Sehwag’s cricketing career and family responsibilities. However, insiders claim that their relationship has been strained for some time, leading to this decision.  

Virender Sehwag retired from international cricket in 2015 and has since taken on multiple roles, including being a member of the National Anti-Doping Agency’s appeal panel. Known for his private nature, this development has placed his personal life under the spotlight.  

Although there is no official confirmation, the separation rumors have caught the public’s attention, with fans expressing concern over the beloved cricketing couple’s reported split.
