PM Modi Tasks BJP Workers to Expose AAP by Highlighting Civic Issues "Take pictures, share with locations"
PM Modi tasks BJP workers to expose AAP by highlighting civic issues like broken drains and garbage heaps ahead of Delhi Assembly elections. A three-way contest looms between AAP, BJP, and Congress.
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing BJP booth-level workers during the "Mera Booth Sabse Majboot" program, urged them to expose the shortcomings of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) by documenting civic issues across Delhi. He directed workers to take photographs and videos of broken drains, garbage heaps, and other problems, along with their locations, and share them with the public.
"The BJP booth worker has a big responsibility to expose AAP. Take pictures of every street in your booth, make videos where dirty water is flowing or drains are broken, and share these visuals with their locations," said PM Modi.
The Prime Minister emphasized the goal of forming a BJP government in Delhi to address the challenges created by AAP's governance. He assured BJP workers that their efforts would lead to a significant victory in the upcoming assembly elections.
"We have to free Delhi from the troubles and problems created by AAP. Only then can we fulfill the vision of making Delhi the developed capital of a developed India," he said, expressing confidence in the organization’s strength across Delhi's 13,000 booths.
Criticism of AAP and Congress
PM Modi criticized both AAP and Congress for betraying the people of Delhi during their respective tenures. He accused AAP of inheriting and amplifying the inefficiencies and corruption of Congress, stating, "AAP has taken just seven months to inherit the evils that took Congress seven decades to cultivate. In nine years, they have doubled those evils."
Highlighting the aspirations of the middle class, the Prime Minister said the BJP considers this demographic the backbone of the economy and has worked to provide modern facilities in areas such as education, health, transportation, and infrastructure.
"The Government of India has invested heavily in improving the ease of living and travel for Delhi’s middle class. The metro now reaches every corner of Delhi, and there is a robust network of highways and expressways—all of this achieved by the central government," he added.
Delhi Assembly Elections
The national capital is gearing up for elections on February 5, with vote counting scheduled for February 8. A three-way contest is anticipated between the ruling AAP, BJP, and Congress. While AAP secured 62 of the 70 seats in the 2020 assembly elections, the BJP won eight seats. Congress, which dominated Delhi politics for 15 years, failed to win a single seat in the last two elections.
