Kerala : Five MBBS Students Killed in Car-Bus Collision in Alappuzha
Five MBBS students lost their lives in a tragic car accident in Alappuzha, Kerala. Their speeding car collided with a KSRTC bus. Police are investigating the case.
In a tragic accident near Kalarcode in Kerala’s Alappuzha district on Monday night, five first-year MBBS students lost their lives when their car collided with a Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus. The accident occurred around 10 PM as the students were traveling to Kochi.
According to police, the car was speeding and attempted to overtake another vehicle when it suddenly braked, skidded, and crashed into the oncoming bus. The impact left the car completely crushed, and rescue teams had to break open the vehicle to retrieve the occupants.
Seven students were inside the car. Three died on the spot, while two others succumbed to injuries on the way to the hospital. The remaining two students are hospitalized, with one in critical condition.
The deceased have been identified as Mohammed, Muhasin, Ibrahim, Devanand, and Shreedeep, all first-year medical students from a government medical college.
This heartbreaking incident has brought attention to the dangers of speeding and reckless driving. Police are conducting a detailed investigation into the accident.
