Delhi Businessman Sunil Jain Shot Dead by Bike-Borne Assailants During Morning Walk

New Delhi: A 57-year-old businessman, Sunil Jain, was shot dead by two unidentified bike-borne assailants in Delhi’s Shahdara district on Saturday morning. The incident occurred near the Farsh Bazar area as Jain was returning home on a scooter with a friend after a morning walk at the Yamuna Sports Complex.

According to police, the attackers fired seven to eight rounds at Jain, who was a resident of Krishna Nagar and owned a utensils business. Witnesses reported that the shooters initially engaged Jain by claiming his phone had fallen. They then asked for his name before one of them dismounted from the bike and opened fire.

"Jain begged them not to shoot, but they did not listen. The attack lasted only two to three minutes, and the assailants were masked," said Jain’s walking companions.

Police confirmed that Jain had no known rivalries or personal disputes. "The crime team has reached the scene, and an investigation is underway," said the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Shahdara. The attackers remain at large.
