PM Modi : India to Rank Among World's Top 3 Economies in My Third Term
New Delhi: In a resolute address at the inauguration of Delhi's revamped Pragati Maidan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today pledged an extraordinary surge in India's development and economy during his third term in power. He asserted that this growth trajectory would elevate India to one of the world's top three economies. Sending out a strong message of progress and prosperity, PM Modi highlighted the remarkable transformations in India's infrastructure and economic standing.
"From east to west, north to south, India's infrastructure is changing... The world's highest rail bridge, the longest tunnel at the highest altitude, the highest motorable road, the largest stadium, the largest statue — all of these remarkable achievements are in India," proclaimed PM Modi.
Emphasizing that economic growth would be in harmony with the nation's aspirations, the Prime Minister reminisced about the significant strides India has taken under his leadership. "In our first term, India held the 10th position in terms of the global economy. In my second term, we climbed to become the world's fifth-largest economy. Based on our track record, I assure the nation that in my third term, the Indian economy will rank among the top three in the world," he declared confidently, guaranteeing the country's future economic standing.
The inauguration of the International Exhibition-cum-Convention Centre, now christened "Bharat Mandapam," also served as a platform for PM Modi to present a political pitch ahead of next year's general election. Comparing the cumulative growth achieved in the last nine years with the progress made in the six decades since Independence, the Prime Minister highlighted the accelerated pace of development in various sectors.
"In the last 60 years, India managed to electrify only 20,000 km of rail lines compared to the 40,000 km achieved by my government in the last nine years... We are now completing 6 km of metro line every month, in addition to less than 4 lakh km of village roads... The capacity of Delhi airport has increased from around 5 crore passengers per year in 2014 to 7.5 crore now, with the total number of airports reaching 150," PM Modi stated.
Taking a dig at the opposition, PM Modi grouped his political rivals together, accusing them of attempting to obstruct progress. He highlighted the efforts to hinder the construction of Bharat Mandapam as an example of negative-minded individuals trying to halt development initiatives.
"These people tried to stop this Bharat Mandapam. It is some people's compulsion to thwart every work. In breaking news, they tried every possible tactic. However, I am confident that after a while, those very people will come here for lectures or events," he remarked with conviction.
With ambitious promises of unprecedented growth and a vision of propelling India among the top three global economies, PM Modi's speech resonated with a call for continued progress and development, rallying the nation towards a prosperous future.
