PM Modi Celebrates Ram Temple with Commemorative Stamps and Global Tribute Book

Prime Minister Narendra Modi released a special series of commemorative postage stamps dedicated to the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on Thursday, alongside a fascinating book showcasing stamps issued by over 20 countries featuring Lord Ram.

The intricately designed stamps capture the essence of the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir, incorporating six distinct elements: the majestic temple itself, the timeless prayer "Mangal Bhavan Amangal Hari," a radiant sun, the sacred Saryu River, and sculptures found within and around the temple.

Six individual stamps present key figures and themes from the Ramayana, including Lord Ganesh, Lord Hanuman, Jatayu, Kevatraj, and Shabri.

"Today, I released six postage stamps dedicated to the Ram Temple, and a book showcasing stamps issued by countries around the world featuring Lord Ram," PM Modi stated in a video message. He emphasized the universal appeal of Lord Ram and the Ramayana, transcending religion and caste. "Their story teaches us about love overcoming all challenges and connects humanity," he added.

Officials highlighted the elegant design incorporating a gold leaf of sun rays and the "Choupai" prayer, lending a majestic touch to the stamps. These unique stamps also boast elements representing the "Panchabhutas" - the five elements of sky, air, fire, earth, and water - symbolizing the harmony prevalent in Hindu philosophy.

Accompanying the stamps is a 48-page book titled "Global Ramayana: Celebrating Lord Ram through Philately." This book sheds light on the international reverence for Lord Ram by showcasing stamps issued by countries like the United States, New Zealand, Singapore, Canada, Cambodia, and even international organizations like the United Nations. This collection aims to underline the universal appeal and influence of Lord Ram on diverse societies across the globe.

This initiative by PM Modi serves as a unique tribute to the Ram Temple and a celebration of Lord Ram's enduring legacy, not just in India but across the world.
