Dehradun, Uttarakhand – In a tragic accident, six young individuals lost their lives when their car collided with a truck near ONGC Chowk in Dehradun during the early hours of November 12. The group was reportedly returning from a party when the incident occurred around 1:30 am.
The devastating crash left their Toyota Innova severely mangled, with visuals from the scene showing the roof torn off and the vehicle twisted beyond recognition. Disturbing footage circulating on social media reveals the grim aftermath, with two passengers decapitated and body parts scattered across the road.
According to police, the group of seven friends, believed to be under the influence of alcohol, were heading home when the accident occurred. Six of the passengers were identified as Kunal Kukreja (23), Atul Agrawal (24), Rishabh Jain (24), Navya Goel (23), Kamakshi (20), and Guneet (19). Kukreja hailed from Himachal Pradesh, while the others were residents of Dehradun.
The sole survivor, Siddhesh Agrawal (25), who reportedly hosted the party earlier that evening, is in critical condition at a local hospital.
Police are investigating the incident to determine the exact sequence of events and the group’s movements prior to the crash.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed deep sorrow over the tragic loss of young lives. "The news of the death of six youths in a road accident in Dehradun is extremely heart-rending. I pray to God to grant the departed souls peace and give strength to the bereaved families to endure this immense pain," he said.
