Revanth Reddy to be Sworn In as Telangana Chief Minister Alongside 12-Member Cabinet

Hyderabad: Anumula Revanth Reddy, Telangana Congress President, is poised to take the oath as the new Chief Minister of Telangana in an elaborate ceremony at LB Stadium today. The swearing-in will be accompanied by twelve ministers, including prominent figures like Uttam Kumar Reddy, Sridhar Babu, and Ponnam Prabhakar.

Popularly known as 'Tiger Revanth,' he successfully led the Congress to victory, ending the longstanding rule of K Chandrashekar Rao and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) in Telangana since its formation in 2014.

The grand event is expected to draw significant political figures, with Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi attending. Approximately one lakh attendees are anticipated.

Revanth Reddy's triumph was marked by his victory in the Kodangal seat, while facing a formidable opponent in KCR on the Kamareddy seat, which was secured by BJP's Katipally Venkata Ramana Reddy.

In his first official act as Chief Minister, Revanth Reddy is set to sign a file fulfilling election promises. Notably, he plans to fulfill a commitment to provide the first job to a 38-year-old woman. The ceremony will witness the presence of political dignitaries, including former Chief Minister KCR and leaders from neighboring states.
