Ram Mandir Consecration Ceremony to Span 3 Days, Starting from January 21: Report

In a momentous occasion, the consecration ceremony for the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is scheduled to take place over three days, starting from January 21, as confirmed by a trust member on Friday. The much-awaited event is expected to witness the participation of prominent sadhus, dignitaries, and over 25,000 Hindu religious leaders from 136 Sanatan traditions.

The Ram Mandir Trust General Secretary, Champat Rai, shared the news and stated that the main event would be kept non-political, devoid of any public meetings or stages. The trust plans to extend invitations to guests from different political parties, ensuring their attendance is driven by the intention to participate in this historic ceremony.

To accommodate the prominent saints, the trust intends to arrange lodging in the vast monasteries of Ayodhya. Additionally, around 10,000 "special guests" are expected to be present within the premise of Ram Janmabhoomi for the consecration ceremony.

"The sanctum sanctorum of Ramlala is nearing completion. Now, in the month of January, the preparation for the grand event of 'Pran Pratishtha' is on in full swing," shared Anil Misra, a temple trust member.

Considering the magnitude of the event, the trust plans to offer free food to devotees attending the consecration ceremony in Ayodhya. They aim to provide meals to approximately 75,000 to 1,00,000 people daily throughout the month of January.

The Bhoomi Pujan programme for the temple took place on August 5, 2020, with limited scale participation due to COVID-19 guidelines. As the preparations continue for the grand event of 'Pran Pratishtha,' the entire nation eagerly awaits this historic milestone in Ayodhya.
