PM Modi Conferred with Kuwait’s Highest Honour, 'The Order of Mubarak Al Kabeer'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was awarded Kuwait’s highest civilian honour, The Order of Mubarak Al Kabeer, during his visit to the Gulf nation. This marks the 20th international recognition conferred upon PM Modi by various countries.
The Order of Mubarak Al Kabeer is a prestigious knighthood order awarded to heads of state, foreign sovereigns, and members of foreign royal families as a gesture of friendship. Prominent recipients of this honour include former US Presidents Bill Clinton and George Bush, as well as Prince Charles.
PM Modi was presented with the honour during a ceremonial event at the Bayan Palace, attended by Kuwait’s Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al Sabah. The prime minister also received a ceremonial guard of honour.
Strengthening Bilateral Ties
PM Modi’s two-day visit to Kuwait, at the invitation of Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al Sabah, is historic, marking the first visit by an Indian prime minister to the country in 43 years.
During his visit, PM Modi engaged with the Indian diaspora at the ‘Hala Modi’ community event held at the Shaikh Saad Al Abdullah Indoor Sports Complex, which was met with widespread enthusiasm from Indian expatriates.
On Saturday, he visited the Gulf Spic employees camp in Kuwait, where he addressed Indian workers and praised their contributions to Kuwait’s development. The visit underscores India’s commitment to strengthening ties with Kuwait and enhancing the welfare of its expatriate community.
