Srinagar: Six soldiers were injured in a landmine explosion on Monday in the Nowshera sector of Rajouri district, Jammu and Kashmir.

The incident occurred around 10:45 am in a forward area when a soldier accidentally stepped on a landmine, triggering the blast, according to reports from news agency PTI.

The injured soldiers were promptly evacuated to a hospital, where they are reported to be in stable condition.

The forward areas of Jammu and Kashmir, particularly along the Line of Control (LoC), are frequently dotted with landmines as part of anti-infiltration measures.
