Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation in the 103rd edition of his monthly radio program "Mann Ki Baat." During this broadcast, he highlighted the significance of unity and resilience in overcoming natural disasters and the sacredness of the auspicious month of Sawan.

PM Modi expressed empathy for the challenges faced by people during the monsoon season, particularly in dealing with natural calamities that have caused distress and upheaval in many regions. He praised the collective efforts of local communities, NDRF personnel, and local authorities in effectively responding to these emergencies and showcasing the strength of united action.

The Prime Minister emphasized that while the ability and resources to tackle disasters are crucial, the empathy and support extended to one another hold equal importance. This spirit of caring for each other and working together for the greater good is not only India's identity but also its strength.

PM Modi also underlined the significance of the ongoing "Amrit Mahotsav," commemorating 75 years of India's independence. He highlighted the efforts made to create more than 60,000 Amrit Sarovars (water bodies) and ongoing work to build over 50,000 additional ones. Citizens across the country are actively participating in "Jal Sankalp" (water conservation) initiatives, demonstrating their awareness and responsibility towards preserving water resources.

With the holy month of Sawan underway, PM Modi shared the spiritual and cultural significance of this time. Sawan is associated with greenery and joy, celebrated with swings, mehndi (henna), and various festivities. The month holds special significance for devotees engaged in the worship of Lord Shiva, and many undertake the revered Kanwar Yatra to pay their respects.

The Prime Minister emphasized that these traditions and customs enrich our culture and make us more dynamic. Sawan has inspired devotees to visit the 12 Jyotirlingas (sacred shrines) with great devotion, reinforcing the importance of spiritual practices in our lives.

In his address, PM Modi encouraged everyone to embrace the essence of unity, empathy, and spirituality, which continue to define India's culture and heritage. By coming together, respecting nature, and cherishing our traditions, the country can face challenges with unwavering strength and resilience.

During his address, Prime Minister Modi expressed his delight at an ongoing artistic endeavor taking place in Ujjain. A group of 18 talented painters from different corners of the country are skillfully creating captivating cartoons inspired by the Puranas. These paintings will showcase various distinct styles, such as Bundi, Nathdwara, Pahari, and Apabhramsh. The ultimate display of these masterpieces will be at the Triveni Museum in Ujjain, offering visitors the opportunity to experience another divine realm alongside the revered Mahakal Mahalok.

In the course of discussing these remarkable paintings in Ujjain, the Prime Minister recalled another exceptional artwork by artist Prabhat Singh Modbhai Barhat from Rajkot. The painting depicted a significant event from the life of Chhatrapati Veer Shivaji Maharaj, specifically his journey to pay homage to his Kuldevi, 'Tulja Mata,' after his coronation. Artist Prabhat portrayed the vibrant atmosphere during this momentous occasion, capturing the essence of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's profound reverence and devotion.
