Navi Mumbai Hotel Murder: Boyfriend Held for Allegedly Killing IDFC Bank Manager Girlfriend

Navi Mumbai Police have arrested a 24-year-old man, Shoeb Sheikh, for allegedly killing his girlfriend, a bank manager, at a hotel in Navi Mumbai on Monday.

The victim, 35-year-old Amy alias Amit Ravindra Kaur, was a manager at a Navi Mumbai branch of IDFC Bank. According to police, Sheikh suspected Kaur of having an affair with another man and allegedly strangled her to death in a fit of rage.

Mumbai Police received a tip-off about Sheikh's involvement in some illegal activity and apprehended him from his house in suburban Saki Naka before he could flee to his hometown in Uttar Pradesh. During interrogation, Sheikh confessed to the murder and led police to the hotel room where Kaur's body was found.

Sheikh has been arrested under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including Section 302 for murder. Police are investigating the case further and gathering evidence.
