Mumbai on High Alert, Police Increases Security at Chabad House Following Recovery of 26/11 Site Images from Terror Suspects

In response to a concerning development, the Mumbai Police has intensified security measures outside Chabad house after images of the 26/11 terror attack site were discovered on the phones of two terror suspects. The recovered images, taken from a Google search of the iconic five-storey landmark, were linked to the arrested suspects who were planning an attack in Rajasthan.

The Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) took custody of two suspects, identified as Mohammad Imran Mohammad Yunus Khan and Mohammad Yunus Mohammad Yakub Saki, hailing from Ratlam in Madhya Pradesh. The duo was apprehended in Pune during an investigation into their intentions and activities. Alongside their arrest, the ATS also detained an individual from Pune who was found to have provided shelter to the suspected terrorists.

According to a press release issued by the Maharashtra ATS on Thursday, it was revealed during the investigation that the two suspects sought assistance from the Pune resident for arranging their shelter upon arrival in the city. Following the leads obtained during the interrogation, the said individual was detained and later arrested, along with the two suspects.

The recovery of the 26/11 site images and the subsequent arrest of the terror suspects have prompted heightened security measures around Chabad house to ensure the safety and protection of the area.

Authorities continue to investigate the matter thoroughly to prevent any potential threats and to maintain public safety in the region. The Mumbai Police and the Maharashtra ATS remain vigilant in their efforts to neutralize any potential security risks and protect the citizens and landmarks from potential harm.
