Eluru, Andhra Pradesh: Pawan Kalyan, Janasena Party (JSP) Chief and Andhra Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister, has introduced a new party wing named the "Narasimha Varahi Brigade," aimed at safeguarding Sanatana Dharma. This announcement was made during the inauguration of the 'Deepam-2' free cooking gas cylinder scheme in Jagannadhapuram village.
While addressing the gathering, Kalyan said, “I respect all religions but firmly stand by my faith. Those who disrespect or criticize Sanatana Dharma on social media will face consequences. To ensure this, the Janasena Party is establishing the Narasimha Varahi Brigade to protect Sanatana Dharma.”
The announcement coincided with the roll-out of the 'Deepam-2' initiative, which provides three free cooking gas cylinders annually to 1,08,39,286 eligible families in Andhra Pradesh. Kalyan highlighted the government’s commitment to welfare, stating that this scheme would cost ₹2,684 crore per year, totaling ₹13,425 crore over five years.
Pawan Kalyan also underscored the government’s dedication to women’s safety, warning that any abusive actions or threats directed at women will not be tolerated. He assured strict monitoring and action against those disrespecting women, especially on social media.
In his address, Kalyan criticized YSRCP leaders, remarking that despite their electoral losses, they continue to act with disregard. "YSRCP leaders have not changed. Those spreading misinformation about the government will face strict action," he asserted.
Kalyan also discussed his connection to the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Temple in IS Jagannadhapuram, a place of personal significance since 2009. He expressed his commitment to the temple’s development, mentioning a proposed budget of ₹2.5 crore for construction and ₹2 crore for a protective wall. He also called for an inquiry into unauthorized excavations near the temple and warned that those involved would be held accountable.
Through initiatives like the 'Narasimha Varahi Brigade' and welfare schemes, Pawan Kalyan aims to establish a solid foundation for the JSP’s social and cultural values in Andhra Pradesh.
