India resumes e-visas for Canadians after a 2-month break

After stopping visa services for Canadians in Canada for almost two months, India has now started offering e-visas to Canadian nationals again. This pause happened because Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau suggested a potential Indian connection to the killing of a Khalistan separatist based in Canada.
Recently, India took steps to restore some visa services, like entry, business, medical, and conference visas. This move is seen as India trying to ease tensions, especially after asking Canada to reduce its diplomatic presence in India during the diplomatic dispute.
In response to the strained relations, Canada had pulled out 41 diplomats from India and stopped visa and consular services in cities like Chandigarh, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. These services are now available only at the Canadian High Commission in Delhi.
