The 69th National Film Awards winners were revealed on Thursday. These awards recognized the finest achievements in Indian cinema during the year 2021.
The winners' lineup for the 69th National Film Awards of 2023 has been unveiled at the National Media Center in New Delhi on Thursday. The ceremony, to be held at a later date, is a celebration of the most outstanding contributions to Indian cinema from the year 2021. Films, both feature and non-feature, that received certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) between January 1, 2021, and December 31, 2021, were in contention for these prestigious awards.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the award ceremonies faced a delay of two years. The 68th National Film Awards, conducted in 2022, celebrated the finest Indian films of 2020. Soorarai Pottru, a Tamil film, secured the top accolade for Best Feature Film, while the late filmmaker Sachy was honored as the Best Director for Ayyappanum Koshiyum
