Protestors Attack Actor Allu Arjun's Residence in Hyderabad Over Stampede Tragedy
Actor Allu Arjun's Hyderabad residence attacked by protestors demanding justice for a stampede victim. Police investigate claims of OU JAC involvement as tensions escalate.
Hyderabad: A tense situation erupted at Telugu actor Allu Arjun's residence in Hyderabad on Sunday evening when a group of individuals reportedly attacked the property, demanding justice for a recent tragedy. The protestors destroyed flower pots on the premises, hurled tomatoes, and chanted slogans before being detained by the Hyderabad police.
The incident is believed to be linked to the death of Revathi, a woman who tragically lost her life in a stampede during the premiere of Allu Arjun's much-awaited film, Pushpa 2. Protestors reportedly demanded the actor extend support to Revathi's grieving family and her son.
Details of the Attack
Eyewitnesses reported that a group of individuals, allegedly members of the Osmania University Joint Action Committee (OU JAC), gathered outside Allu Arjun’s residence, carrying placards and chanting slogans such as “Justice must be done.” When house staff refused entry, the mob scaled the walls and caused damage to the property, including destroying flower pots and hurling tomatoes and stones.
Security personnel intervened and prevented the protestors from entering the house itself. Following a tip-off, police arrived at the scene, detained several individuals involved, and launched an investigation into the incident.
Cause of the Protest
The protestors demanded justice for Revathi's family, alleging that her death during the Pushpa 2 premiere stampede could have been avoided. They also called for Allu Arjun to publicly support the family and provide assistance to her young son.
Police Investigation
Authorities are investigating the incident to determine the involvement of the OU JAC, as initial reports suggest some protestors might have been affiliated with the group. Police are also examining claims that a few outsiders joined the protest and escalated the situation by throwing stones and tomatoes.
So far, no official confirmation has been made regarding the alleged affiliations of the attackers.
